Arson Squad Strike Force Vulcan officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding several small scrub fires that started along the verge areas on O’Brien Road onto Lancewood Avenue, Gidgegannup. The fires occurred around 5:30am this morning, 3 March 2016. Information is critical to these investigations and Arson Squad Strike Force Vulcan officers urge members of the public to report any suspicious behaviour around bushland. Arson Squad officers are investigating a deliberately lit building fire at a commercial premise this morning (24 February 2016).

Around 3am, Department of Fire and Emergency Services(DFES) were called to the fire on South Street, O’Connor.

DFES officers extinguished the fire and estimated the damage at approximately $500,000.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area during this time or has any information in relation to this incident.

Just before 5pm on Sunday 14 February 2016, Department of Fire and Emergency Service (DFES) were called to a house fire on Campbell Street, East Cannington.

DFES extinguished the fire which caused approximately $50,000 in damage to the building.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and Arson Squad officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire.

Police would like to speak with anyone who was in the vicinity of Campbell Road around the time of the fire who may have seen any suspicious activity.

Embleton Man Charged Over Incendiary Device

Arson Squad officers have charged a 59 year old Embleton man with allegedly lighting an incendiary device in bushland along Johnson Road in Bertram yesterday afternoon (29 January 2016).
Around 3.55pm, the man was observed entering and leaving bushland in the area. A search of the area located a lit incendiary device allegedly placed in bushland by the man.
Police also seized a number of items from the man’s vehicle parked nearby, including boxes of matches.
The man has been charged with Lighting or Attempting to Light Fire likely to Injure and will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.

#Vulcan – Arson Squad detectives are investigating multiple bushfires that occurred on the outskirts of Gidgegannup in December 2015.

Their investigation established that the fires between Tuesday 1 December to Tuesday 22 December, were deliberately lit and each had the potential to cause significant property damage.

Detectives wish to identify the man in the composite below who was seen in the area of the fire and who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being approximately 25 to 30 years of age, fair skinned, of medium build, with short light coloured hair and is clean shaven. He may have been driving a light coloured utility.

Arson Squad detectives have charged a 25 year old woman after a fire at her home on Monday 4 January 2016.

Emergency services were called to the two storey unit in Daly Street Belmont around 10:25pm after reports of a fire in the unit.

The woman received minor burns and was treated at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Unfortunately two dogs in the unit died in the fire.

The Belmont woman has been charged with Criminal Damage by Fire; Endanger Life, Health or Safety of Person and Caused Unnecessary Harm to an Animal.

At about 4.30pm on 28 December 2015 a fire was deliberately ignited in bushland beside St Bernadette’s Catholic Church, near intersection of Strasbourg Ramble and Benbecula Loop, Port Kennedy. The fire caused approximately $100K damage to the church.

A short time later a second fire was deliberately ignited in bushland adjacent to Pimento Circuit, Port Kennedy.

Arson Squad Detectives would like to speak to the man in this footage that they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as heavy build, dark hair, wearing a red singlet, black shorts and thongs.

Arson Squad Officers are seeking the public’s assistance for information in relation to a number of suspicious grass fires yesterday afternoon, Saturday 19 December 2015.

The fires all occurred between 4pm and 4:45pm:

– On the corner of Berrigan Drive and Elderberry Drive, South Lake

– On the corner of Lakes Boulevard and Imlah Court, Jandakot

– On the verge on Cutler Road between Prinsep Road and Solomon road, Jandakot

– At Verde Reserve, on the corner of Cutler Road and Abaya Street Jandakot

Officers believe these fires are related and would like to know about any suspicious people and/or vehicles that were in the area at the time.

Arson Squad Investigate Department Store Fire

Hello Readers

Seriously what are things coming too. Why on earth would someone set a fire in an underwear section of a department store. Thinking on, maybe a disgruntled, fired employee?  Perhaps an unhappy customer? Or was it just a malicious attack? who knows? someone does. Were you there? Were you in the evacuation? Perhaps you may remember something? Remember seeing someone suspicious?

This is a serious offence. The outcome of this situation could of been much worse people may of been killed, injured or otherwise affected. This time it was stock. If you know something Please say something.

Arson Squad Investigation

About 3:35pm yesterday afternoon, offender(s) where in the women’s underwear section of a department store located within a shopping centre on Ocean Keys Boulevard in Clarkson.
They set fire to some underwear which spread to other clothing on display.
Staff quickly evacuated customers from the store and put out the fire. DFES attended to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
Approximately $50,000 damage was caused by the fire.
Arson Squad officers are investigating the incident and anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Western Australia Police – Arson Squad Investigators

Arson Squad Detectives will be attending the scene of two fires today (3 July 2015). The cause of the fires are currently undetermined.

About 5.45pm yesterday, Department of Fire and Emergency Service (DFES) were called to a unit fire in Lewis Court Armadale.

The unit was occupied by a 39 year old woman who was not injured.

The fire caused extensive damage and the cost is believed to be approximately $100,000.

DFES were called to a building fire on Ruse Street Osborne Park, about 10.10pm last night.

The fire spread to an adjoining factory in Drake Street Osborne Park causing significant structural damage.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of either fire and who has any information regarding these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Arson Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons or vehicles in the vicinity of Calista Avenue on Saturday morning.

At about 8.10am, police were notified by DFES of a fire at a property on Sydenham Street. Arson Squad Detectives attended the address and determined the fire to be deliberately lit. The fire caused extensive damage to the property, estimated at approximately $100,000.
