Perth Police Charge Former Priest and Scout Leader With Sex Assaults

Perth police have charged an 83-year-old former priest and scout leader with the sexual assault of three boys between 1954 and 1979.

WA Police spokeswoman Susan Usher said the alleged assaults against two ten-year-old boys and one 16-year-old occurred when the man was an Anglican Priest in Ravensthorpe and a scout leader in Wembley.

Western Australia Police – Arson Squad Investigators

Arson Squad Detectives will be attending the scene of two fires today (3 July 2015). The cause of the fires are currently undetermined.

About 5.45pm yesterday, Department of Fire and Emergency Service (DFES) were called to a unit fire in Lewis Court Armadale.

The unit was occupied by a 39 year old woman who was not injured.

The fire caused extensive damage and the cost is believed to be approximately $100,000.

DFES were called to a building fire on Ruse Street Osborne Park, about 10.10pm last night.

The fire spread to an adjoining factory in Drake Street Osborne Park causing significant structural damage.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of either fire and who has any information regarding these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Armadale Detectives seek the Public’s information in relation to this incident

Armadale Detectives are seeking the public’s information in relation to an Aggravated Robbery incident which occurred Wednesday 1 July 2015 in the car park of a fast food outlet located on the corner of Westfield Road and Ypres Road, Camillo.

At about 8:50pm, three men approached two teenage boys and two men aged between 16 to 25 years in the car park and demanded cash and property. All four victims were threatened and assaulted by the three men before they fled in a vehicle parked nearby. Some of the victims required medical attention, although their injuries are not considered life threatening.

The three men are described as being dark skinned, aged in their late 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 183cms tall and have an average to large build.

At the time of the incident there was a person in a vehicle (possibly dark green or black sedan) which was parked nearby, who police believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

Arson Squad Detectives seek information to this incident

Arson Squad detectives are seeking information regarding a house fire in Calista on Saturday, 9 May 2015.
Around 7am, Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were advised of a fire at a home on Calista Avenue. Approximately $150,000 damage was caused to the home.
Arson Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons or vehicles in the vicinity of Calista Avenue on Saturday morning.
Monetary rewards are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.

Arson Squad Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance regarding a suspicious fire in Kewdale on Friday, 26 June 2015.
At about 8.10am, police were notified by DFES of a fire at a property on Sydenham Street. Arson Squad Detectives attended the address and determined the fire to be deliberately lit. The fire caused extensive damage to the property, estimated at approximately $100,000.

Armadale Detectives are seeking information relating to the whereabouts of

Coen Joseph Leigh EDGILL

who they believe can assist them with their inquiries into an Aggravated Burglary incident.
Coen EDGILL is 22 years old, 160-165cms tall with a dark complexion, of slim build, with black hair and brown eyes.
He is believed to frequent the Camillo and Armadale areas.
Anyone who sights Coen EDGILL is advised not to approach him as he maybe in possession of a machete but call police on 131 444.

WA Police Major Crime Squad detectives are continuing their investigation into the discovery of human remains in an area of bushland off the Victoria Highway, Kununurra in Western Australia.

The remains were discovered on Wednesday, 17 June 2015, and are believed to be those of an adult.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the remains is continuing, and the death of the person will be treated as suspicious until it can be determined otherwise.

Investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have seen an adult male person walking along Victoria Highway between April 22 and May 5, 2015.

The male may have been walking along the roadside, hitchhiking, or walking further into that adjacent bushland.

Mandurah Detectives have charged a 22 year old man as a result of their investigation into a serious assault in Erskine on Tuesday 23 June 2015, in which a 19 year old woman was injured.

It is alleged about 4pm, the woman was a passenger in a silver coloured Ford KA travelling along Oakleigh Drive when a green coloured Ford Falcon station wagon rear ended her vehicle outside a Medical Centre.

The woman confronted the driver of the other vehicle and when she leant in to speak with the driver, the man reversed his vehicle quickly, pulling the woman under the vehicle and running over her. She is currently in hospital with serious injuries.

The Lake Clifton man has been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm; Fail to Stop after Accident and No Authority to Drive (fines suspended).

He is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on 14 July 2015.

Police would still like to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident or either vehicle prior to the crash.

Mandurah Detectives are seeking information relating to the whereabouts of Michael John CARDOSA who they believe can assist them with their inquiries into several serious incidents.

Michael CARDOSA is 28 years old, approximately 173cms tall with an olive complexion, of medium build, with black hair and brown eyes.

He frequents the North Dandalup and Pinjarra areas.

Anyone who sights Michael CARDOSA is advised not to approach him as he maybe in possession of a firearm him but call police on 131 444.
