Armed Robberies Arrest (Gwelup and Innaloo) – Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a man in relation to two armed robbery incidents in Gwelup and Innaloo yesterday afternoon, Friday 29 April 2016.

About 1:15pm a man entered a bottle shop on North Beach Road, Gwelup and picked up a carton of alcoholic drinks. Have You Noticed Scooters Coming & Going At A House Near You? Please, Read On..

Good Evening,
Team 3 in the seat for our first night shift of the week.
“SCOOTER WATCH”
Canning Vale Police are working hard to keep the local community safe. In recent weeks we have noticed bad guys getting around on scooters in order to commit crime.
This trend is nothing new – scooters allow offenders mobility, a quick hassle-free getaway and the ability to use walkways and footpaths, especially between adjoining streets or roads.
Often these people won’t wear protective gear either, and so risk seriously injuring themselves when riding in a reckless manner.
We are appealing to the public in the Canning Vale and Thornlie suburbs to report any information you may have in regards to offenders using scooters to commit crime in our area.
If you have information about any of the following, we want to know about it:
– Scooters coming and going from houses at all times of the day and night
– Scooters suddenly becoming a problem (noise, reckless driving etc) at a house near you
– People, particularly juveniles, congregating in areas with scooters
– Scooter riders who don’t wear protective clothing or gear (helmets etc)
If you know something, say something!
Call 131 444 to report an incident or request police attendance.
Call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 to provide information, anonymously if you like.
With your help we can make a difference.
