Team 2 For The Last Night Of This Rotation

Team 2 for the last night of this rotation.

We have had a couple of recidivist offenders committing stealing offences across the metropolitan area since October 2015. They were couch surfing with relatives. Knowing we were looking for them they did everything they could to avoid the inevitable introduction to a police officer.

On 8 March 2016 the Kensington Detectives Proactive Team took charge of the entire series of offences into this two person mini crime wave.

After reviewing and revisiting witness statements, checking CCTV footage and getting a understanding of what they were looking at the thief catchers were let loose in ‘hunt mode’.

Early the next day both of the alleged offenders came to understand that the Seekers (even without Judith Durham) were better than the Hiders and our baddies were sniffed out at a relative’s house in Willagee. After introductions they were arrested and taken back to Kenso Detectives Office. Inquiries are ongoing but at this time I can tell you a 27yo male from Willagee has been charged with 2 counts of Stealing.

A 27yo female from Willagee has been charged with 7 counts of Stealing, Unlawful Damage, a Common Assault, an attempted burglary with Intent and Criminal Damage. She also had a warrant outstanding for failing to appear in Fremantle Court last month.

Her bail was refused and she will be appearing in Court tomorrow morning.
