Banksia Grove Fatal Shooting

Police were called to Cassia Link in Banksia Grove around 10:30pm on Tuesday 26 April 2016. .

Major Crime Squad detectives are investigating the incident in which shots were fired resulting in a man in his 20s dying and two other men in their 20s and 50s suffering gunshot wounds.

The injured men were taken to hospital.

inquiries into the homicide of 26 year old Patrick SLATER.

Mr SLATER’s death occurred after an altercation near the Esplanade Bus Port in the early
hours of Wednesday 27 January 2016.

Detectives believe that the four males pictured can assist with their inquiries.
Four people have already been charged with Murder in this ongoing investigation.

The 17 year old Marangaroo male has been charged with Murder and is due to appear in the Perth Children’s Court today (12 March 2016).

Kuol AKUT died as the result of injuries he received in Hainsworth Avenue, Girrawheen, during the evening of Friday 19 February 2016. An 18 year old man from Balga was arrested yesterday, Friday 26 February 2016, and he has since been charged with Murder. He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Saturday 27 February 2016.

Man Charged With The Murder Of Rachel Anne Michael

Major Crime Squad detectives have charged a man in relation to the murder of 38 year old Langford woman Rachel Anne MICHAEL. The body of Ms MICHAEL was discovered in her Simons Way home on Tuesday 20 October 2015.
The murder is alleged to have occurred between Thursday 24 September 2015 and Tuesday 20 October 2015.
A 28 year old man from Fremantle was arrested yesterday, Wednesday 10 February 2016. He has been charged with Murder and will appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court.

Access to the car park is still available via Hay Street.

Major Crime Squad detectives are investigating the suspected homicide of a 26 year old man.

About 3:30am this morning a serious assault took place, which resulted in the man being taken to Royal Perth Hospital, who later died.

The incident covers a large area and police have restricted public access to the area around the Esplanade Bus Port and Train Station. There will be significant disruption to commuters, who are asked to avoid the area for the time being. More updates will be posted in due course.

Major Crime Squad detectives investigating the death of 70-year-old Valeria Fermendjin are appealing for a caller to Crime Stoppers to again come forward.

Mrs Fermendjin was found deceased inside her Leach Highway home on January 7. It is believed she died between 7.30am and 8.30am on January 5.

The male caller contacted Crime Stoppers about 12.15pm on Wednesday January 13 and provided information regarding activity he observed near Mrs Fermendjin’s Leach Highway home.

Detectives are keen to clarify information that the male provided to Crime Stoppers and urge him to again come forward. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Detectives from the Major Crime Squad are today continuing appeals for public assistance regarding the death of 70-year-old Valeria Fermendjin.

Officers will be at a Mobile Police Facility that will be located at IGA Express, near the intersection of Leach Highway and Stock Road, from 6.30am to 9am.

Officers will also be manning a display at the Melville Woolworths supermarket, located at the corner of Stock Road and Leach Highway Willagee, from 9am to 3pm.

Both locations are near Mrs Fermendjin’s Leach Highway home, which is where she was found deceased on January 7. It is believed Mrs Fermendjin died between 7.30am and 8.30am on Tuesday January 5.

South Hedland Death Investigation –

Major Crime Squad detectives are seeking information regarding the death of a 22 year old man at a residence in South Hedland yesterday morning, Sunday 3 January 2016.

About 7:55am Police were called to a residence in Treloar Close in relation to a man who was unresponsive. Police attended and CPR was commenced until St John Ambulance arrived, at which point the man was taken to Hedland Health Campus.

The man was unable to be revived and was declared deceased at the hospital.

Major Crime Squad detectives have travelled to South Hedland and are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Major Crime Squad Officers Are Continuing Their Investigation Into The Death Of 31 Year Old Michael Watson…

Major Crime Squad officers are continuing their investigation into the death of 31 year old Michael Watson who was found unconscious by friends in his home on Grove Road Lesmurdie on Tuesday 24 November 2015.

Michael was conveyed by SJA to the St John of God Hospital in Midland, but died two days later on 26 November.

As a result of further inquiries, his death is now being investigated as a suspected homicide by the Major Crime Squad.

Detectives are seeking information to piece together the circumstances leading to Michael’s death.

In particular, police are looking for his mobile phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 which may have been discarded around the 24 November and picked up by a member of the public.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have had contact with Michael in the days leading up to and including 24 November.

They would also like to speak with the driver of a blue VT model Holden Commodore seen at the Lesmurdie address on 23 November as the driver may be able to assist with inquiries.

Post mortem – Victoria Highway WA – Western Australia Police

A post mortem which has been carried out on male human remains discovered on the side of Victoria Highway in WA on 17 June 2015 has not yet established how the man died nor his identity.
Investigators from the WA Police Major Crime Squad will now attempt to identify the man using DNA and are liaising with Missing Persons Units throughout Australia.
The adult man’s remains were discovered on Wednesday 17 June 2015 in burnt out bushland off Victoria Highway near Kununurra in Western Australia, around 4km from the WA/NT border.
Police carried out a forensic examination of the scene and search of the surrounding area, which has now been completed. The investigation into the man’s death continues and is being treated as suspicious until it can deemed otherwise.
Investigators have been informed of a male person who was seen walking along the Victoria Highway, between 22 April 2015 and 5 May 2015, and seek any information from the public to identify this man.
He has been described as being:
Approximately 180cm tall
30-40yrs old
Long dark coloured hair
Dark coloured short beard
Light skinned
Wearing Long Pants
Thick/Baggy Green Jacket
Carrying a rolled up mat or similar.

Major Crime Squad detectives have charged a 66 year old Brentwood woman over the death of her 62 year old sister in Hilton.
It will be alleged that the victim received fatal injuries at her home address in Nicholas Crescent in Hilton between 9 pm on 24 June and 1.30 am on 25 June.
The woman has been charged with Murder and will appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court today (26 June).
