Armed Robberies Arrest (Gwelup and Innaloo) – Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a man in relation to two armed robbery incidents in Gwelup and Innaloo yesterday afternoon, Friday 29 April 2016.
About 1:15pm a man entered a bottle shop on North Beach Road, Gwelup and picked up a carton of alcoholic drinks. It will be alleged the man tried to leave the store without paying, and when confronted by a staff member he showed the staff member he was armed with a knife and warned the staff member not to try to stop him.
A short time later a person matching the same description entered a bottle shop on Ellen Stirling Boulevard, Innaloo and picked up a carton of alcoholic drinks. It will be alleged the man tried to leave the store without paying, and when confronted by a staff member he showed the staff member he was armed with a knife.
Detective First Class Constable Karen HIGGS from Mirrabooka Detectives said a man was arrested as a result of information obtained from the public.
“After the incident in Innaloo a customer at the shop noted the details of a vehicle the offender left the scene in. Acting on that information a search warrant was executed in Clarkson and a 20 year old man was arrested, and items of interest to the investigation were seized.
“Unfortunately the member of the public left the shop and didn’t leave their details. We would be very interested to speak to that person and we ask that they come forward and contact us.” Detective HIGGS added.
A 20 year old man from Clarkson has been charged with two counts of Armed Robbery and one count of Breach of Bail Undertaking. He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Saturday 30 April 2016.

Mirrabooka detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a robbery that occurred in Balga on Friday 15 January 2016.
About 10.45pm a 15 year old boy was at a fast food outlet on Wanneroo Road.
Whilst the boy was seated and eating his meal, a man approached him and offered to sell him a quantity drugs. The boy refused to purchase the drugs but offered the man $2 as he was previously heard asking other patrons for loose change.
The man grabbed the boy’s mobile phone and threatened the boy with violence before leaving the store in possession of the boy’s phone.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries into this incident.
The man is described as:
• Light skinned
• Late teens to early 20’s in age
• Approximately 185cm tall
• Thin build
• Dirty blonde hair with three rat tails on the back.
• Chipped front teeth
• Plaster cast on his right forearm
• Wearing a white Everlast T-shirt, blue shorts and white and red ‘Nike’ Air Max shoes.

Mirrabooka Detectives are hoping to identify the owner/s of a motorcycle and trailer which were seized last week during a warrant.
The bike is a 98-01 model Yamaha Dt230 ‘Lanza’ model number tp3010
The Trailer had a stolen plate on it and the bike is believed to have been licenced but had the plate and electrical items stripped off. The bikes VIN number has been ground off.

Burglary Arrest – Mirrabooka Detectives have arrested a 42 year old woman in relation to numerous burglary incidents.
Geraldton Police investigating multiple burglary incidents that occurred between October 2015 and January 2016 in the Geraldton area, contacted Mirrabooka Detectives Proactive Team after they established a person that could assist them with their investigation was currently residing in Perth.
As a result of these inquiries a 42 year old Rangeway woman has been charged with:-
Nine counts of Stealing;
Eight counts of Burglary;
One count of Aggravated Burglary;
One count of Attempted Aggravated Burglary and
One count of Breach of Bail.
She is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, 17 February 2016.
Mirrabooka Detectives Proactive Team have been investigating numerous burglaries across the metropolitan district.
Just before midday on Tuesday 9 February 2016, they responded to a burglary in Cedric Street Stirling.
It will be alleged they located a man hiding under a bed in the home.
A 33 year old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with:-
Nine counts of Stealing;
Five counts of Aggravated Burglary and Commit;
Four counts of Burglary and Commit;
Four counts of Steal Motor Vehicle;
One count of Aggravated Burglary with Intent;
One count of Breach Violence Restraining Order and
One count of Breach of Bail
He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 9 March 2016.

Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a 40 year old man in relation to an incident in Nollamara and Morley on Saturday 26 December 2015.
Around 12:45pm, a 23 year old man driving his 2014 white Hyundai i30 hatchback, pulled into the driveway of his Gascoyne Street Nollamara home. It will be alleged the 40 year old man got into the passenger seat of the car and demanded to be driven to another suburb. The man threatened the victim saying he had a machete.
A woman known to the offender also got into the vehicle and they demanded to be driven to the Morley bus station. During the journey the man and woman argued with each other and whilst the Hyundai was stopped at the traffic lights near the Coventry Markets on Walter Road Morley, the woman exited the vehicle and walked away towards the BP service station.
The man attempted to grab the woman who was half out of the Hyundai when the victim accelerated causing the man to fall out onto the road. The victim then drove off and reported the incident to police.
The 40 year old man of no fixed address has been charged with Threats with Intent to Compel the doing of an Act and he will next appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 24 March 2016.
Inquiries are continuing and police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the white Hyundai i30 in any of the areas mentioned. It is believed several people were in the vicinity of the
markets at the time.

Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a man in relation to an incident that occurred in Glendalough early this morning, Friday 18 December 2015.
Just after midnight a 36 year old man was driving along Scarborough Beach Road when he stopped to assist a dog that was on the side of the road. He left his car running with the keys in the ignition as the dog was only a short distance away. When he returned to his vehicle he observed a man standing near it with a block of wood in his hand. It will be alleged the man got into the victim’s vehicle and attempted to start the already running engine. The victim was able to reach into the vehicle and pulled out the keys.
It will be further alleged the man got out of the vehicle and attempted to hit the victim with the block of wood before punching him when he fell to the ground. Fearing for his safety the victim handed over his keys and the man drove off in the vehicle.
The victim was able to obtain a lift from a passing motorist and followed the vehicle until he was able to alert police, who stopped the vehicle without incident.
A 23 year old man from Wanneroo has been charged with Armed Robbery and Obstructing public officers.
He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Friday 18 December 2015.
