PERTH ATTEMPTED ROBBERY
Perth Detectives are seeking information regarding an incident in Perth on Saturday 26 December 2015 in which a man was the victim of an attempted robbery.
About 9:15pm the 21 year old victim was walking across the overpass between Forrest Chase and the Perth Train Station, heading towards the train station, when he was approached by a man asking him for money. When the victim declined the request he was threatened with violence and the offender tried to search his clothing, however left with nothing.
Two women with blonde hair were nearby at the time and spoke to the victim. Detectives would like to hear from those two women.
It is believed just prior to this another man carrying a bag may have also been approached by the same offender, and it is also possible a group of four people (a man and three women) may have been approached after this incident.
At this time it appears neither of the two additional incidents have been reported to WA Police, however detectives would like to hear from those people.
The offender is described as a dark skinned male, 21 – 23 years old, approximately 185cm, has crooked teeth and short black hair on top of his head, and longer hair at the back. At the time of the incident he was wearing a white t-shirt with an image on the front, black jeans, black shoes, a white and black cap and was wearing a black backpack.
Anyone with information regarding this incident, or who recognises the person in the CCTV images below, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at http://www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
