This Man Wanted For Armed Robbery. Seen Him?

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking assistance from the public regarding an armed robbery that occurred in Burswood on Wednesday 2 March 2016.

About 10.40pm a man entered a business on Teddington Road armed with what is believed to be a syringe and demanded cash. After being given a quantity of cash the man left the store.

The man is described as being fair skinned, approximately 170cms tall with a medium build, balding shaved head and tattoos on his chest. Hewas wearing a black jacket, dark pants, boots, gloves and sunglasses.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information regarding an armed robbery in High Wycombe on Thursday, 28 October 2015.

About 7:39pm, two men entered a delicatessen located at the corner of Newburn and Edney Roads, High Wycombe. One of the men threatened a staff member with a knife, the other with a baseball bat. One threw a bag on the counter and demanded cash.

The attendant threw the bag back towards the two men who then fled from the store empty handed.

The men are described as both being fair skinned. Both were wearing black hooded jumpers and
black shorts.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information regarding an attempted armed robbery at a Chemist located on Prindiville Drive Wangara, on Sunday 6 March 2016.

About 9:20am, a man with his face partially covered entered the chemist and threatened a staff member with an unknown object, demanding cash.

The staff member managed to flee with the offender giving chase for a short distance.

The man is described as being approximately 160cms tall, with fair skin and a medium build.

He was wearing a dark coloured hoodie, grey coloured tracksuit pants with black writing on the side, white shoes, dark sunglasses and a bandana covering his nose and mouth.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a 35 year old Cooloongup man with two counts of Armed Robbery. It will be alleged the man entered a discount variety store at the Rockingham City Shopping Centre on Sunday 6 March 2016 and demanded cash from the employee whilst brandishing a knife. He left the store on a bicycle with a quantity of cash. It will be further alleged the man also entered a supermarket on Malibu Road in Safety Bay on Monday 7 March 2016 and demanded cash from the employee whilst brandishing a knife. He then fled the store on foot with a quantity of cash. He has been refused bail and is due to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, Friday 11 March 2016.

#TougherForCrooks – Just before midnight on Wednesday 24 February 2016, Regional Investigations Unit officers sighted a stolen Ford Falcon utility in Parmelia.

It will be alleged they activated emergency lights and siren but the driver did not stop and attempted to evade police. The stolen vehicle travelled east on Bertram Road and onto the Kwinana Freeway.

A successful stinger deployment at the intersection of Challenger Ave and Bertram Road led to the vehicle stopping a short time later. The driver fled on foot into bushland.

Police Dog Jimmy tracked the man and located him hiding in bushland.

A 29 year old Parmelia man has been charged with Steal Motor Vehicle and Drive Recklessly; Reckless Driving; Fail to Stop and No Authority to Drive.

He is due to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, 25 February 2016.

Detectives From Regional Investigations Unit Were Conducting Proactive Patrols In Morley Early This Morning,…

Detectives from Regional Investigations Unit were conducting proactive patrols in Morley early this morning, Friday 12 February 2016, when they observed a Ford Falcon sedan acting suspiciously.

It will be alleged officers attempted to stop the vehicle however it failed to stop and accelerated away from police before going off road near the Tonkin Highway and Morley Drive intersection. The vehicle lost traction and spun out of control before coming to stop on Gayswood Way. The driver immediately ran from the vehicle and numerous resources were called in, including Dog Squad and Polair.

With assistance of Polair the driver was located hiding in bushes on Gayswood Way and was arrested without incident.

It will be further alleged during a search of the driver and the vehicle officers located 9.4 grams of methylamphetamines, a quantity of cash, two firearms containing live rounds, ammunition, a quantity of cocaine and an ecstasy tablet.

A 44 year old man from Carlisle has been charged with:
– No authority to drive
– Driver of a vehicle failed to stop
– Possess a Prohibited Drug
– Possessed a prohibited drug
– Reckless Driving
– 2 x Unlicensed Person Possess Firearm/Ammunition
– Possession of a Prohibited Drug With Intent to Sell or Supply
– Possess unlicensed firearm carried with drugs and/or cash
– 2 x Possess Firearm with Circumstances of Aggravation

The man is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Friday 12 February 2016.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information regarding an armed robbery in Mindarie on Sunday, 17 January 2016.

About 7:30pm, a man entered a pizza store located on Anchorage Drive. The man covered his head with a white towel before threatening a staff member with a screwdriver and demanded cash.

The man was given a small amount of cash before he fled to a waiting silver Holden Commodore VZ station wagon parked nearby (photo of a similar vehicle attached).

The man is described as being aged between 25 to 35 years of age, approximately 185cms tall, with fair skin and an athletic build.

He was wearing a loose navy blue singlet, dark coloured shorts and no shoes.

Regional Investigations Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to an armed robbery that occurred in Alexander Heights on Sunday 19 October 2015.

About 3.30am two men entered a service station on Mirrabooka Avenue and one approached the counter brandishing a tomahawk and demanded cash from the attendant. The man motioned with the tomahawk in a threatening manner and the store attendant handed over a sum of cash. The second man stood at the door during this time and also stole phone accessories from a display rack. They then left the area on foot.

Police have released CCTV images of a two men who they believe can assist them with their inquiries into this incident.

The first man is described as:
– Light skinned with a spotty complexion
– 20 to 23 years of age
– Approximately 175cm tall
– Solid build
– Wearing a black ‘TAP OUT’ hooded jumper with red long sleeves, dark shorts and black shoes.
– Carrying a black backpack with a white pattern. The tomahawk had a full yellow handle.

The second man is described as:
– Light skinned
– 20 to 23 years of age
– Approximately 185cm tall
– Slim build
– 20 -23 years of age
– Wearing a black hooded top with ‘NIKE’ insignia on the front, black bandana or similar covering his lower face and dark pants.

Regional Investigation Group are appealing for the public’s assistance regarding an Aggravated Armed Robbery.

Approximately 8.40am on the 2nd of January 2016 two males entered a deli on Labouchere Road, Como with their faces concealed. They had used a t-shirt or similar and wrapped it around their heads.

One male demanded cash whilst pointing a knife at the employee. The other male also armed with a knife remained at the front of the store.

They were able to steal a quantity of cash before leaving.

The CCTV images as you can see below are unfortunately not of a high quality however Detectives that have reviewed footage describe the first male to be of light complexion about 185cm tall and of thin build. He was believed to be wearing a pink t-shirt and jeans with a black shirt wrapped around his head.

The second male described as being light complexion about 185cm tall and thin build. He was wearing a black t-shirt with white writing on the front and long brown jeans. He also had a black shirt wrapped around his head.

Regional Investigations Unit Officers Have Charged A 22 Year Old Lockridge Man With Aggravated Armed…

Regional Investigations Unit officers have charged a 22 year old Lockridge man with Aggravated Armed Robbery after being located in the Belmont area yesterday afternoon.

It is alleged about 1:35pm, the man was driving a stolen white Toyota Camry in the Belmont area and when officers activated the emergency lights and sirens the driver initially failed to stop and continued to drive through residential streets at low speed. Officers were able to manoeuvre their vehicle in front of the stolen Toyota eventually arresting the man.

He has been charged with:

1 x Aggravated Armed Robbery
1 x Steal Motor Vehicle
2 x Assault with Intent to Prevent Arrest
1 x Reckless Driving
1 x Fail to Stop
1 x No authority to drive

He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court this morning, Tuesday 22 December 2015.
